Love Your Crystals by Cleansing Them

Many people buy and fall in love with Natures Gemstones – Crystals. They buy several whenever they see them at Spiritual Fairs, New Age Shops and even on line and then leave them on a shelf or in a basket and never get the full benefits of these precious gifts from Gaia.

You need to reconnect with them and use them in the ways they were intended for. Gather up all your Crystals, touch them, take them outside in the sunlight, hold them, cleanse and reprogram them.

Over the years many people have asked me why crystals need to be cleansed, the answer is simple, you must cleanse away the dust, negative and stale energies that may surround your crystal.

One other thing I would like you to do is to think back to the day you chose each crystal and reasons why you had to have it. Then ask yourself this question “Have I put it to good use?”

Crystals can help us in our daily lives, make YOURS part of your everyday life and cleanse and reprogram them regularly.

Here are a few suggestions on how to cleanse them. Place it under the light of a full moon/sun for 24 hours.

Please note the following Crystals may fade in the Sunlight, so use other methods –

Amethyst, Celestite, Opal and Turquoise

Bury them in the earth for 48 hours. *PLEASE mark the spot!

Place your Crystals in bowl of water in which you have added 7 drops of Flower Essences (such as Bach Flower). Keep them in this for 24 hours.

Place your Crystals in Salt Water. Use one teaspoon of Sea Salt in a Glass bowl (Do not use metal bowls please). Some crystals should NOT be washed/cleansed in salt water as it changes their properties and by this I mean their physical properties not their Metaphysical Properties. They are - Calcite Carnelian Labradorite (Spectrolite) Lepidolite Moldivate Opal Turquoise

Use 1 drop of your favorite Essential oil on each crystal and cleanse it with a tissue.

When using your Essential Oil burner, hold your Crystal of the vapors for 2-3 minutes.

If you are a Reiki Practitioner, hold them in your hands and give them a Reiki Healing. The wonderful ways above will rejuvenate the power of your crystal/s. It washes away the negative energies it/they have absorbed and recharges with positive healing energy.

Oh by the way, if you use you’re Crystal/s for Crystal Healing everyday (i.e. you use them on clients) they work very hard. It is good to send them home for at least 1 month every year. By that I mean bury in the Earth for one month (again please mark the spot).

I would now like to tell you about one of my favorite Crystals – The Smokey Quartz.

The Smokey Quartz is an extremely grounding Crystal. The Energies work well with the Solar Plexus Chakra and the Chakras located in the hands and feet.

Occurring in masses the colors of Smokey Quartz Crystal can range from light to dark Smokey grey to black.

This wonderful Crystal dissolves emotional blockages and negative energies thus allowing positive energies to enter.A wonderful Crystal to hold when you are worried and need thinking time as it clears the mental channels allowing clarity of thought.

Balancing the Yin and Yang energies, Smokey Quartz can also help ground you by helping you give attention to the NOW moment.

When used in meditation it tends to refine the vibratory energies allowing for clarity of thought. It also can be used to initiate a powerful force field, which absorbs many forms of negativity both from within oneself and outer sources.

This Crystal has long been used in Tribal ceremonies to protect from unwanted and detrimental forces in the ethereal realm.

The presence of sodium in clear quartz is said to produce the varying colors of Smokey quartz so therefore can be used to help regulate the fluids within your body, plus aid in congestion from the physical organs and glands around the solar plexus area. It can also help with disorders of the hands and feet.
